Slow To Get Started

This year has had a slow start but I'm on a roll now. I spent the last week in California with my Dad, cutting fabric and cooking him dinners to put in the freezer. His bar is the perfect height for me to cut for hours on end with no side effects! I have never cut so many squares in such a short time. I left my machine at home so I wouldn't get distracted from my cutting. I'm really excited about my Dancing Stars project.

Squares for Dancing Stars  Jan 2013
I cut thousands of squares including the white ones. I have a sewing day with the girls tomorrow so I am excited to get started.

I have cut enough squares for 300 blocks! King size?

I finished this quilt from my leftover Dresden Plate scraps. First finish for 2013!

No Negative Space Jan 2013
Dad has lots of dinners to eat and I have lots of fabric cut. It was a good trip.

Happy sewing!

Amazing! You did a great job and busted some fabric from your stash...I can't wait to see it come together!
